Contest Rules

Eligibility

• Open to participants 21 years of age or older.
• Free to enter — no purchase, bet, or subscription required.
• One entry per person. Duplicate entries will be removed.
• A valid Betvisors account username is required to enter.

How It Works

• Each week, a set of NBA games is posted with point spreads.
• Participants pick which side they believe will cover the spread for each game.
• Picks lock at the scheduled tip-off time for each game. Late picks are not accepted.
• You will receive a weekly email when picks open. Use your personal pick link to submit.

Scoring

• A correct pick (your side covers) = 1 cover.
• An incorrect pick (your side does not cover) = 0.
• A push (final margin equals the spread exactly) does not count as a cover or a loss — it is excluded from your cover percentage calculation.
• Missing a game (no pick submitted before lock) = 0, and counts against your total picks made.

Leaderboard & Tiebreakers

• Primary: most total covers.
• Tiebreaker 1: highest cover percentage (covers ÷ non-push picks with a result).
• Tiebreaker 2: most picks made.

Two-Half Structure

• Half 1: All games with a tip-off before NBA All-Star weekend (February 19, 2027).
• Half 2: All games from February 19, 2027 onward through the end of the contest period.
• Each half has its own winner. The “This Week” tab tracks current-week performance only.

General

• Betvisors reserves the right to modify the schedule, scoring rules, or prize structure with reasonable notice.
• Betvisors advisors and staff are permitted to enter but may be ineligible for prizes (TBD).
