Full version (250 words)
Betvisors is a sports betting advisory platform built on the “Tip if it Hits” model: bettors tail picks from verified advisors and only tip when picks win. There are no subscriptions, no upfront fees, and no charges on losing picks. The tip is pre-authorized at the moment a bettor commits to tailing a pick, then either captured if the pick wins or canceled if it loses, with the bettor's payment method never touched on a loss.
Every pick on the platform is captured at submission through GPT-4 Vision betslip extraction, locked against later modification, and graded against the actual sportsbook outcome. Advisors cannot self-report results, cannot quietly delete losing picks, and cannot inflate their win rates. The result is an industry-first verified performance record across dozens of independent advisors.
The platform was founded in 2023 by brothers Matthew and Mitchell Trotta after Ohio's sports betting legalization. The “Tip if it Hits” model emerged from conversations with betting influencers who wanted to be paid for their work without putting their picks behind subscription paywalls that would erode their audience. Betvisors holds a patent-pending Pre-Commit Tip Authorization architecture covering the outcome-conditioned capture mechanism and the computer-vision betslip verification system.
Betvisors is a Delaware C-Corp headquartered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and one-tap bet placement is integrated through Gambly, which routes bettors to their preferred sportsbook with the bet pre-built from the advisor's betslip.
Fact Sheet
Leadership
Mitchell Trotta is co-founder of Betvisors. He started the platform with his brother Matthew after Ohio's sports betting legalization opened up legal wagering across the state. Mitchell handles product, platform feedback, and the founding story. He is the on-the-record voice for founder features, business-of-building-it coverage, and Cincinnati and Ohio regional press.
Mitchell is available for interviews on the founding story, the decision to build the “Tip if it Hits” model, and what it has been like to build a sports betting platform out of Cincinnati.
Mackenzie Kilkeary is the lead advisor on Betvisors, publicly known across sports betting Twitter as @PvB_Bets. His verified record on the platform stands at 57.7% win rate and +40.9 units of profit. He is the on-the-record voice for industry coverage, sharp-bettor podcasts, op-eds, conference panels, and any reporter writing on the state of the handicapping industry or the verification problem.
Mackenzie is available for interviews, podcast appearances, and quoted commentary on the handicapping industry, verified performance data, and what aligned-incentive picks economics look like in practice.
Billy Lowe (Wilhelm Löwe) leads engineering at Betvisors. He architected the payment-intent flow, the GPT-4 Vision betslip pipeline, and the deep-link tailing infrastructure. Billy is the technical contact for fintech and applied-AI publication coverage.
Matthew Trotta is co-founder and President of Betvisors, where he leads strategy and operations. Direct all interview requests, quote requests, and feature opportunities to Mitchell Trotta for founder narrative or Mackenzie Kilkeary for industry expertise.
Tip if it Hits, in Five Steps
The “Tip if it Hits” mechanic is the platform's defining feature and the basis of its patent application.
The advisor uploads a betslip screenshot. GPT-4 Vision extracts the bet details (matchup, odds, units, bet type) at the moment of submission. The pick is locked. No edits, no retroactive changes.
The bettor taps a button. At that moment, Betvisors creates a Stripe payment intent for the tip amount the bettor pre-authorized. The intent is held in an uncaptured state.
The bettor places the bet at their own sportsbook via the Gambly one-tap deep link. Betvisors is not a sportsbook and does not accept wagers.
API-Sports returns the outcome. A three-check verification system confirms the result against the betslip data. Advisors cannot be the sole verification party.
If the pick wins, the payment intent is captured and the tip processes. The advisor receives ~70% of the tip; Betvisors retains a 30% commission plus a $0.30 Stripe fee. If the pick loses, the payment intent is canceled and the bettor's card is never charged.
The model creates structural alignment: advisors earn only when their picks hit, bettors never pay for losing picks, and verified track records cannot be falsified because the platform locks pick details at submission.

Selected Quotes
Ready-to-quote attributable statements for journalists covering Betvisors.
On verified data:“The data we have on this platform doesn't exist anywhere else in the industry. Every pick is timestamped at submission. Every result is verified against the sportsbook outcome. You can't fake it, and you can't quietly delete a losing pick later.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On the model:“I don't get paid unless my picks win. That's the whole game. If I'm cherry-picking what to post, my track record collapses on the leaderboard within a week. Everyone can see it.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On the handicapping industry:“Most of the people charging fifty dollars a month for picks are showing you cropped screenshots and asking you to trust them. Betvisors took that whole problem and built the platform that makes it impossible to lie about your record.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On verification technology:“The platform reads my betslip with computer vision the moment I submit it. I don't type in the odds, I don't enter the bet size, and I don't get to change them after the fact. It pulls the data straight off the slip.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On creator equity:“The deal here is different from every affiliate program in this industry. I have equity in the platform. Every bettor I bring on, every pick that hits, that's value I'm building in something I actually own a piece of.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On the Q1 2026 data:“The Q1 data shows what we already suspected. Only a handful of advisors are actually profitable at any real volume. The reason you don't see that data anywhere else is that nobody tracks it, and the people selling picks have every incentive to hide it.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On the bettor experience:“The whole reason this works for bettors is they never pay for a losing pick. They tail a pick, they tip if it hits, and if it doesn't, nothing happens. That's the entire pitch and it's the truth.”Mackenzie Kilkeary, Lead Advisor, Betvisors
On the founding moment:“Ohio went legal and we jumped in. Then the promos dried up and we realized we weren't as good at this as we thought. We started tailing influencers who actually did the research, and that worked, but the noise was brutal. Wins got celebrated, losses got buried.”Mitchell Trotta, Co-founder, Betvisors
On the breakthrough:“We pitched the idea to a bunch of influencers and the response was always 'just another app for me to post on.' That forced us to figure out what would actually make them want to use it. That's how we landed on Tip if it Hits.”Mitchell Trotta, Co-founder, Betvisors
On building from Cincinnati:“We are not in Vegas or New York. Two brothers in the Cincinnati area decided the handicapping industry needed receipts, and we built it.”Mitchell Trotta, Co-founder, Betvisors
On why this matters:“The reason we started Betvisors is that we got tired of tailing influencers who pretended they were profitable. We wanted receipts. So we built the platform where the receipts can't be erased.”Mitchell Trotta, Co-founder, Betvisors
“Betvisors verifies every pick at the moment of submission. The platform reads the betslip with computer vision, locks the pick details, and grades the result against the actual sportsbook outcome. The verified record on each advisor profile is the same record we use to power the public leaderboard.”Betvisors
“Betvisors is the only sports betting advisory platform built on outcome-conditioned compensation. Advisors earn nothing on losing picks. The platform's commission is collected only on winning tips.”Betvisors
"Betvisors is 100% worth joining if you're serious about sports betting. The platform lets you tail verified plays from real bettors with proven track records, so you're not just guessing. What really separates Betvisors is their tip if it hits model, meaning you only pay when a play wins and never for losing picks. It's a win-win setup where everyone eats together."
"Gives me access to all my favorite bettors for free. There's no worry of paying for losing picks with their pay if you win philosophy."
"It's incredibly refreshing to know you are only paying for successful advice, which creates total alignment between the advisor and the bettor."
"Changes the way I look for bets entirely. Also a super friendly interface with lots of knowledgeable sports bettors."
"While there are a variety of platforms to post sports gambling picks, none have integrated a fast and easy tipping system. A tipping system incentivizes us to continue to produce free content."
"The concept of tipping handicappers only for hits ensures they're still getting paid for their hard work, but also that casual bettors tailing don't lose more than they otherwise would."
"Betvisors is hands down the most convenient gambling platform, for both the average bettor and handicapper. It provides a win-win for all involved while creating a community-like feel."
