How Betvisors Pricing Works: Tip if it Hits
Betvisors is free to join. You pay only when a pick wins, with no subscription and nothing owed on a loss.
What is free
Signing up, following advisors, viewing full records, and tailing picks. All of it, indefinitely.
When you pay, and when you do not
Before you confirm a tail, you see the tip the advisor is asking for and approve it. Your card is authorised, not charged.
- The pick wins and the tip is charged. That is the only time you pay.
- The pick loses or pushes and the authorisation is released. You pay nothing.
Worked example. You tail a pick with a $5 tip request. Your card is authorised for $5. If the pick wins, $5 is charged. If it loses or pushes, the authorisation drops off and you are charged nothing.
Why this model, in numbers
The alternative is a subscription, and subscriptions have an arithmetic problem that is easy to miss.
Say you find a genuinely good handicapper, 55% at −110, which is a real and rare edge worth +5% ROI on every dollar you risk. Here is the monthly betting volume required just to break even against a subscription fee, before you keep a cent:
| Monthly subscription | If they hit 53% (+1.18% ROI) | If they hit 55% (+5.0% ROI) | If they hit 57% (+8.8% ROI) |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25 | $2,115 | $500 | $284 |
| $50 | $4,231 | $1,000 | $567 |
| $99 | $8,377 | $1,980 | $1,123 |
| $199 | $16,838 | $3,980 | $2,257 |
Now run a realistic season. You place 100 bets at $50 following that genuinely winning 55% handicapper:
| Result | |
|---|---|
| Gross profit before fees | +$250 |
| After six months at $25/mo | +$100 |
| After six months at $50/mo | −$50 |
| After six months at $99/mo | −$344 |
A genuinely winning handicapper plus a subscription can still leave you down. The picks were right. The fee was larger than the edge.
A tip charged only on winners cannot do that, because it is a share of something you already won rather than a fixed cost arriving whether or not anything worked.
What the tip is
The tip amount is set by the advisor and shown to you before you confirm. You approve it in advance, and it is only ever charged on a winning pick. Advisors keep 70% of every tip, minus a $0.30 processing fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I pay to sign up or follow advisors?
No. Signing up, following, viewing records, and tailing are all free.
When am I actually charged?
Only when a pick you tailed wins. Losses and pushes release the authorisation and cost you nothing.
Is there a subscription?
No. No monthly fee, no unlock charge, no tier.
Why is pay-on-win better than a subscription?
Because a fixed fee does not scale with your edge. At a 55% win rate you would need to bet $1,980 a month to break even on a $99 subscription; below that volume the fee consumes the entire edge. A tip on winners only cannot exceed what the win produced.
Is Betvisors a sportsbook?
